Food recommendation! Auntie Vivian invited us for dinner to celebrate Andrew's birthday. She choose a Yakitori restaurant located at Cuppage Centre. This building has all the most authentic Japanese restaurants you can find in Singapore. And, you better has money cash with ya.
I didn't manage to snap all the dishes cause I was really too engrossed by the food, and the price. Yummy garlic rice! The generous serving of garlic made the fried rice absolutely fragrant, almost like chicken rice.

Fishy fishy.. I'm sure most of you have tried this type of Japanese grilled fish.

But how about grilled ladies' fingers, brinja and Jap mushrooms? A few slices like this cost approx $8! The mushroom, I swear it was ONE whole mushroom sliced into a million pieces. You better suck all the juices and savour every single bit to make the money worth. hahaha.

I have nothing to complain about their Yakitori-- From their pork slices, to bacon with cheese and grilled asparagus. My personal favourite was still the grilled mutton, which taste almost like pork! hahaa cause there was no stench at all, which most mutton will have. And their grilled foie gras. Yes Jap goose liver!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... much better than french style!

Lastly, guess what sashimi this is. It's horse meat!! Looks so pretty, isnt it?

Another great restaurant cum cafe. I forgot what's the name of this place, but its situated at Taka level 2, near the bags section. The best place for girls day out. A typical day seeping Earl Grey or hot chocolate and having a slice of tiramisu of strawberry shortcake. Awwww..

I hereby declare that the cutie in the centre is unattached and is looking for love. Any takers? He is those rare ones that you find cute yet has never had a girlfriends. Oh by the way, Robin is only 18 this year. =)

Anyway back to gastronomy. This cafe is not just a girly-frilly place with lousy food. Their shrimp salad is a must try. So fresh!! Andrew ordered german sausages and it was orgasmic. hahaha. Robin's shellfish pasta was almost as good as those in Italian restaurant. Not forgetting their dessert. My normal looking apricot cake that stood quietly at a corner of the display was a stunner. I can't imagine how heavenly those freshly made desserts would taste like. Their scones are not too bad. Of course not comparable to those in Aussie, but definitely good enough.
Even their ice water was different. Instead of lemon slices, they threw in strawberries. The twinge of sweetness was so alluring especially when you could smell but not taste them.

Kang En's surprise birthday party at East Coast Chalet. He has a birthday crown made of cream.. Haha of you're his friend too, haven't you realise he always like to take photo at a slanted angle, and his mouth slighly ajar? hahaha.
